is an International Movement founded for diocesan priests by Mother
Teresa of Calcutta and has the blessing of the Holy Father Pope John
Paul ll.
THE MOVEMENT
seeks to
foster priestly holiness and the spiritual renewal of the Church.
Brother priests are invited to share spiritually in the charism and
spirit given by God to the universal Church through Mother Teresa of
Calcutta and the Missionaries of Charity. This is to be lived in the
context of one's own priestly ministry and vocation.
"Jesus loves His priests very much and wants them to grow in holiness
by living the priesthood to the full - this simple way will help very
much. Let us pray and ask Our Lady to take care as She did of Jesus.
God bless you
M Teresa, MC"
This 'Simple Way' is especially fostered by...
- the daily celebration of the Eucharist and prayer in Eucharistic
Adoration
- having a special closeness to Our Lady, Mother of the Church and
Mother of priests
- supporting each other as brother priests, one-to-one or in small
group meetings for PRAYER and FRATERNITY retreats or seminars.
SPIRITUAL ADOPTION
The members
are SPIRITUALLY ADOPTED by religious sisters as priests were adopted
by St. Therese of Lisieux. Priests who are not members may also be adopted.
MEMBERSHIP and ORGANIZATION
The Movement
has no formal organization or membership. The responsible coordinator
of the movement is Fr. Pascual Cervera, assisted by the Missionaries
of Charity Fathers.
